Solid Hoarding Panel Protection
Solid hoarding panels can keep eyes off sensitive areas on site, hide expensive hired equipment, or provide privacy around welfare and office units.
The panel system is simple and quick to assemble, allowing for flexibility too as a site develops.
Solid panels have been used to segregate steel reinforcement assembly areas when there has been a requirement for cutting, keeping the sparks from flying too far.
In public-facing areas, where anti-climb temporary hoarding fence may not provide proper protection, solid hoarding panels can be integrated to provide targeted safe zones.
These panels are also rated anti-climb to provide the same security as the mesh fencing.
Solid Hoarding Panel Assembly
Solid hoarding panels are made to fit into the same rubber blocks as other temporary hoardings, and they are joined with the same couplers.
Use our galvanised fence clips, doubled up to prevent the panels from being lifted out of their blocks.
Steel hoarding fences are very solid and weigh in at 29kg each, more than a bag of cement. However, they are vulnerable to high winds, so make sure they are properly braced in exposed areas.
How Many Will I Need?
A standard steel fence hoarding panel is 2140mm wide, 1360 shorter than a standard ‘HERAS’ fence panel, so you will need to allow for more rubber feet and couplers to cover the same distance.
For a 100m run of steel fence, you will need 46 panels, 47 feet, and 94 couplers.
To get a fence up and running quickly, use a fencing spanner. Made for use with standard and anti-tamper clips, they are ideal for rapid secure installations.
Solid Hoarding Panel Access
If you require access through a solid hoarding panel wall there are both pedestrian gates and vehicle gate options available. It is good practice to ensure that panels that have gates attached are securely braced.
Use ballast blocks with bespoke ballast block stabilisers to make sure your gates stay where they’re put. Our ballast locks are a distinctive bright yellow to help prevent trips and are resilient enough to last longer than the job, to be used again and again.
Ballast blocks are heavy and weigh in at 44kg, so plan for them to be a two-person lift.
It is standard practice to ensure that there is proper segregation between pedestrians and vehicles on a site, or at an event. To enforce this, pedestrians should not be directed through vehicle gates.
