TANALISED pressure treated timber has been pre-treated with TANALITH E, a water-based product based on innovative copper triazole technology. Copper is sourced from recycled materials and triazoles are organic, biodegradable biocides. Suitable for: Battening, Garden structures, Roofing, Carcassing.
Wooden roof battens are essentially strips of wood that are installed on top of the roof rafters to create a space for the roof tiles or slates to be nailed to. Bettens provide a level surface for the roofing material to be laid on and help to distribute the weight of the roof evenly. Using battens also allows builders to create ventilation space under roof tiles, which helps to prevent moisture build-up which would eventually cause damage to the roof timbers.
