For security and visibility, it’s hard to get better than a Tricel trench cover road plate rated to 3.5 tonnes. It is ideal for pedestrian access protection and light vehicle passage across a 700mm trench.

When you require a suitable and sufficient solution to maintain access, either on site, or in a public-facing location, the bright yellow, high-visibility Tricel trench plate will do the job. The specification exceeds the UK Street Works regulations and Directive 2017 for Ramps, Trench Covers, and Road Plates.

The Tricel trench plate system is also compliant with all Department of Transport, environmental, and National Grid regulations, standards, and directives.

In addition, the anti-slip surface exceeds the current HSE slip resistance requirements as standard, giving you the confidence that you are on a secure footing.

The trench plates are fabricated using a sheet moulding composite (SMC) process which is a low-waste, high-recyclable method of production that results in a lower carbon footprint.

The SMC glass-reinforced polymer construction has excellent strength and shock resistance which will withstand most impacts. This means that your investment should last and serve well through numerous projects.

These trench plates also have a high strength-to-weight ratio, which means that they are easy to deploy as they weigh in at just 13.5 kg, a good deal less than a standard bag of cement.

Sized at 1200 by 800mm, the Tricel trench plates should be positioned so that each end has a minimum bearing of 250mm.

The high visibility yellow finish means that the plates are easy to see, and the 3mm bevelled edges lower any trip hazard to almost zero.
