Hook-On Skim Beads - A Thin Coat Plaster Bead that Saves You Time Introducing the Hook-On Plasterboard Bead – a superior solution for achieving fla...
View full detailsPlaster beads are used to provide reinforcement and structure to a plastered surface. Angle beads benefit plasterers in creating a smooth, crisp finish on angled surfaces, such as corners. They are an essential component of any plastering job of scale, and are highly recommended for even home DIY plastering projects.
We sell four types of plaster bead products and mesh; Expamet 553 Thin Coat Angle Bead Box, Hook On Angle Bead, Catnic Render Stop Bead and Plasterboard Stop Bead.
The Expamet 553 thin coat bead is designed for a thin coat or lightweight render systems. It is a corner bead that not only ensures a straight and crisp edge, but also provides durable protection for wall corners.
The Hook On Bead Box is a type of plaster bead used in drywall and plastering applications and is designed to provide a clean, straight edge and reinforcement to corners and edges.
The Catnic Render Stop Bead is used to obtain a neat, bell cast lower edge to external finishes and helps to protect masonry against run-off water.
The Plasterboard Stop Bead is a type of galvanised steel reinforcement that is used to provide a clean and straight edge finish to plasterboard walls and ceilings.
These are essentially L shaped strips of metal that are embedded in the render of a wall corner. Usually for 90 degree internal and external corners, these beads are used to prevent chipping and cracking of render and allow plasterers to create precise corners when plastering.
These plaster beads are designed to be used where render stops. This could be around doors and windows, and other design features. They are used to create sharp, precise lines and seamless transitions between render and other materials. Render stop beads are often attached directly to the substraight, such as brick or mortar.
Plasterboard stop beads are used in the same way as render stop beads, but rather than being attached to the substraight, they are designed to be attached to plasterboard.
Items that are in stock are generally dispatched within 24 -48 hours. If you are within the local catchment area, you may be eligable for same day delivery if that option is available during online checkout. Our customer service team will be in touch to discuss this.
Angle beads as essentially made up of one long solid metal 'nose' with one or two two 'wings' either side. The metal nose is designed to be at the corner of the plaster, and the wing would then be embedded within the plaster finish.
These beads for your rendering system provide fast, easy, and straightforward solutions for plastering projects that involve corners of any angle or between any surface. Plasterers use beads to ensure their rendering system or plaster work is not only precise, but also durable.
