When you need to enhance the finish of a lintel’s leading edge, or toe as it is commonly known, then a lintel soffit cladding strip is what you require. Catnic first devised the lintel soffit cladding to enhance the finish of a combined box lintel but is now compatible with a wide range of lintel products.
Lintel Soffit Cladding Details:
- 4.8m length
- 108mm depth
- Available in white or grey
Initially developed for coastal environments, where a steel lintel may be exposed to salt spray, lintel soffit cladding can enhance the window soffit as well as deliver protection. It has a lip that can slot easily over the toe and requires no other fixing.
Available in 4.8m lengths, it is designed to be cut to fit on site. The lintel soffit cladding is 108mm deep and is supplied in standard white or grey (RAL7015). You can either butt the edge of the cladding up against existing windows or slide it over the top of the window frame.
Cladding is slimline and lightweight and easiest to cut using a fine-tooth saw. The plastic will cling to a saw blade, so take care to clean its teeth from time to time!
Use lintel soffit claddings to complement uPVC window installations, giving a clean, seamless finish that helps to enhance and reflect daylight.
Lintel soffit cladding differs from standard uPVC cladding in that it is designed to fit directly to a lintel. The super-thin profile means that it will not impinge upon the existing tolerances required for the structural opening as much as a standard soffit or uPVC utility board.
As such, the lintel soffit cladding is made from similar materials and will be a very close match to any manufacturer’s uPVC window products. The good news is that even though it may look like a specialist item, it is priced as keenly as any standard construction plastic product.
Whether you are renovating, renewing, or putting a new build project together, our lintel soffit cladding will protect and enhance your window openings.
Installation Tips:
Seal all joints between the soffit cladding and the window with a proprietary sealant to ensure no moisture ingress.
